Frequently asked questions

How do I find a sky village?
Sky villages spawn naturally in your world at high altitudes above the cloud layer. Look up from ground level or use creative mode to fly upward and scan the skyline for floating islands and structures. They're typically found scattered across your world at varying heights.
What's the best way to reach a sky village?
Build a tall pillar, use scaffolding, or create an elevator system to climb upward. Alternatively, use elytra with fireworks or Create mod flying contraptions to reach the settlements more quickly. Some players build bridges or pathways between islands once they reach the first one.
Do sky villages have chests with loot?
Yes, sky village buildings contain chests filled with loot including building materials, mechanical components, and decorative items. Explore each structure thoroughly to find multiple chests scattered throughout the settlement.
Can I use sky village loot in Create machines?
Many items found in sky village chests are compatible with Create mod contraptions and builds. Check your Create crafting recipes to see which materials can be used for gears, shafts, and other mechanical components.
