Frequently asked questions

How do I connect my MineColonies storage to an AE2 terminal?
Place a Common Network Storage block and connect it to your AE2 network with cables, then link it to your colony's storage so the network can see colony items. Once linked, your ME terminals will show colony inventory alongside your regular AE2 storage.
What does the Common Network Storage block actually do?
It acts as the bridge between your MineColonies warehouse/rack storage and your AE2 network. Items in colony storage become visible and accessible through the AE2 grid once the block is connected to both sides.
How do I get started with this mod after installing it?
Build a Common Network Storage block, connect it to your existing AE2 network, and link it to your colony. From there you can add the Grid for Colonist, ME Terminal for Colonist, and Stock Keeper for Colonist to expand what colonists and you can access.
How does the Stock Keeper for Colonist work?
The Stock Keeper keeps your colony supplied by pulling items from your AE2 network to maintain set stock levels. You configure what it should keep stocked, and it automatically requests those items so your colonists don't run out.
Why can't my colonists use the ME Terminal?
Colonists need the Grid for Colonist or ME Terminal for Colonist placed and connected to your AE2 network, and the network must have the items they need available. Make sure the terminal is linked to the same network as your Common Network Storage.
What is the Zoning Tool and how do I use it?
The Zoning Tool lets you define colony areas so you can manage where colonists work or where storage applies. Select the corners of an area with the tool to create a zone, then assign its purpose through the mod's interface.
My AE2 terminal isn't showing colony items — what's wrong?
The Common Network Storage block is likely not linked to your colony, or it isn't connected to the same AE2 network as the terminal you're using. Check both connections and confirm the colony has items in its storage.
Does this mod work with other storage mods besides AE2?
The mod is built specifically around Applied Energistics 2, so its storage bridging and terminal features target AE2 networks. Other storage mods aren't supported by the core storage connection features.
What is the TaCZ Dummy Gun used for?
The TaCZ Dummy Gun is a compatibility item that lets colonists interact with TaCZ firearms content through the mod's systems. It's meant for setups where you want colony guards or colonists to use TaCZ weapons.
Will this mod cause lag on a large colony?
Performance depends on how many storage connections and stock requests are active at once. Keeping your AE2 network organized and avoiding excessive Stock Keeper requests helps reduce load on larger colonies.
