How do I start making money in this mod?
Defeat monsters to earn coin drops, or search chests in structures like Ancient Cities and Nether Fortresses for hidden money. Copper coins are the easiest to find early on and serve as your starting currency.
How do I convert copper coins to iron coins?
Place 100 or more copper coins in a crafting table grid together, and they will combine into a single iron coin. You can repeat this process to upgrade iron into gold coins.
Can I break down a gold coin if I need smaller change?
Yes—place any coin in a crafting table with 99 or fewer of that type, and it will break down into the next lower tier. A gold coin will split into iron coins, which can be further broken into copper.
Do villagers accept the new coins instead of emeralds?
Yes, all villagers and wandering traders now use the coin system. Beginner villagers accept copper, mid-level workers trade for iron, and master villagers demand gold for their best items.
What happens if I put coins in a furnace?
Copper, iron, and gold coins can be smelted into their regular metal ingots—useful if you want to craft with the base materials instead of keeping them as currency. Emerald and Netherite coins cannot be smelted.
Why do my coins sink in water or lava?
This is intentional behavior in the mod—coins are weighted to sink rather than float, so they won't spread across water surfaces when dropped.
How much is an Emerald coin worth compared to copper?
Emerald and Netherite coins are worth millions of copper each and cannot be obtained by simple conversion—you must craft them using the crafting table with the appropriate lower-tier coins.
Is there a fun command I can use with coins?
Yes, you can use a chat command to flip a coin for heads or tails results, though this is mainly for entertainment and doesn't affect gameplay.
Do coins take up less inventory space than emeralds?
Yes, coins stack up to 1,000 pieces per inventory slot, so you can carry far more wealth without filling your inventory.
Will this mod work with other mods that use emeralds for trading?
This mod replaces the standard emerald trading system with its own coin system, so compatibility depends on how other mods interact with villager trades—check mod documentation or community forums for specific combinations.
