Where do I find the ocean bosses?
Deep-sea bosses like the Sea Eater, El Gran Majá, and Leviathan spawn below Y=53 in ocean biomes. The Kraken spawns in the deepest oceans, while both Bloop variants swim near the surface above Y=40.
How many scales do I need to craft armor?
You need to collect exactly 26 scales from each monster to have enough for crafting. Each defeated boss drops this amount, so you'll have exactly what you need for one full armor set or weapon.
What's the strongest armor in this mod?
Leviathan scales craft the strongest gear with 60 sword damage and grey and maroon coloring. This is the highest damage output available from any monster scales in the mod.
Can I ride the Bloop?
Yes, but only the Cute Bloop is rideable. Craft a Bloop Saddle using Bloop scales, place it on a Cute Bloop, and you can ride it across the ocean surface.
Do sea monsters take damage on land?
Yes, all sea monsters dry out and take damage if they leave the water, so they're confined to ocean biomes and can't chase you onto shore.
What happens if I fight two bosses at once?
The Sea Eater and El Gran Majá will fight each other on sight, so encountering both simultaneously means they'll attack each other as well as you.
Can I attack bosses without getting pushed away?
Yes, the mod uses tight hitboxes around creatures so you can swim up close and attack without being knocked back, making melee combat more viable.
Which boss should I fight first?
Start with Bloop scales for starter-level slate blue and ice-colored gear, then progress to Sea Eater scales for better equipment before attempting the harder bosses like the Leviathan.
Is the Hostile Bloop friendly or dangerous?
The Hostile Bloop is dangerous—it's a pale ghost-whale with a huge mouth that swims near the surface and will attack you, unlike the friendly Cute Bloop.
What does the Protector boss do?
The Protector guards ocean monuments and drops unique pale sea-green and orange scales that craft into distinctive armor and weapons.
