Frequently asked questions

How do I get started with astikor carts in tfc?
Craft a Hand Cart first since it needs no animal, then load it and pull it yourself to learn the controls. Once you have a tamed animal and the right materials, upgrade to an Animal Cart for hands-free hauling.
What animal can pull an animal cart?
Animal Carts are hitched to large tamed animals like horses, donkeys, mules, or camels. You need to tame and saddle the animal before it will accept the cart.
How do I attach an animal to the cart?
Right-click the Animal Cart with the animal's lead or interact with the cart while near the tamed animal to hitch it. If it won't attach, make sure the animal is tamed, not already pulling another cart, and standing close enough.
How do I drive the cart once it's attached?
Right-click the cart to mount the driver's seat, then use normal movement keys to steer the animal and cart. The animal follows your steering input rather than wandering on its own.
How do I load cargo or mobs into a cart?
Right-click the cart's storage or cargo area with the item in hand to deposit it, and lead or push mobs into the cart's passenger slots. Chests, crates, and similar containers can be placed in the cargo slot for bulk storage.
What's the difference between a hand cart and an animal cart?
A Hand Cart is pulled by the player and needs no animal, making it ideal for early game or short trips. An Animal Cart is hitched to a tamed animal, moves faster, and can carry more cargo over long distances.
Which wood type should I pick for my cart?
Wood type is mostly cosmetic, so pick one that matches your base or is cheaply available in your biome. Some woods are rarer in TFC, so check what saplings or logs you actually have before committing.
My cart won't move, what's wrong
Check that the animal is actually hitched, the cart isn't stuck on a block or in water, and the ground is flat enough for the wheels. If the animal is tired, hungry, or panicking, it may refuse to pull.
I lost items from my cart, where did they go
Items can spill if the cart is destroyed, falls in water, or the chunk unloads improperly. Always empty the cart's storage before breaking it, and avoid leaving loaded carts in unloaded chunks.
Does Astikor Carts Tfc work with other tfc addons and mods?
It's built for TFC worlds and uses TFC wood types, so it generally plays well with other TFC addons. Mods that change animal AI, pathfinding, or vehicle handling may cause carts to behave oddly, so test before relying on them.
