How do I tame an axolotl?

I lost my pet far from home. How do I find it?
Place a wayward lantern block near your base—lost animals will sense it and navigate back to you if they've wandered too far away.
Can I give my pet to another player?
Yes, craft a deed of ownership item and use it on your tamed animal, then give the deed to another player. They can use it to claim the pet as their own.
Does this mod work with pets from other mods?
Redomesticate is designed to work with standard Minecraft animals and is compatible with many pet-related add-ons, though compatibility depends on how those mods are structured.
How do I stop hitting my own pets in combat?
Friendly fire protection is built in—your sword attacks and arrows won't damage your own tamed animals, and sweeping edge attacks also won't hurt them.
