Frequently asked questions

Do I need to kill animals at all with this data pack?
No, you can obtain leather from zombies and feathers from skeletons instead, allowing you to skip animal farming entirely. However, you may still want to farm animals for other drops like wool or meat if you eat food.
How do I get leather now?
Kill zombies—they will drop leather as part of their loot. You can set up a zombie farm or find them naturally spawning at night to collect leather for books and armor.
Where do feathers come from?
Skeletons now drop feathers when killed, so you can use a skeleton farm or hunt them naturally to gather feathers for arrows and crafting.
What are the vegan recipes in this pack?
The data pack adds plant-based crafting recipes as alternatives to animal products; check your crafting menu or the pack's guide for the specific vegan-friendly options available.
