Frequently asked questions

Do I need both Simply Swords and Death Knights installed for this to work?
Yes, this data pack requires both mods to be active in your world. Without either mod, the Festering Strike weapons won't function properly.
How do I trigger Festering Strike when attacking?
Hold one of the updated weapons (Toxic Longsword, Tainted Relic, or any scythe) in your main hand and attack enemies normally—the spell triggers automatically on hit.
Which weapons have Festering Strike built in?
The Toxic Longsword and Tainted Relic have it directly, plus all scythe types: iron, gold, diamond, netherite, and runic scythes.
Can I use Festering Strike on other Simply Swords weapons?
No, only the weapons listed in the pack features have Festering Strike attached—other swords and weapons from Simply Swords won't cast the spell.
