Overview
Defiled Lands is a comprehensive expansion mod that introduces a spreading corruption mechanic known as "Defilement." This corruption transforms the overworld into a dark, purple-hued wasteland filled with dangerous plants and mutated creatures. Players must navigate these treacherous biomes to gather unique resources like Umbrium and Scarlite, eventually summoning and defeating the mod's central boss, The Mourner.
The mod focuses on a progression system tied to the corruption itself. As the land defiles, new blocks and items become available, allowing for the creation of powerful equipment that surpasses standard vanilla tiers.
