Frequently asked questions

How do I know if Optimized FPS Modpack is actually working?
Open the Mods button in the game menu and confirm Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphor are listed and enabled. You should also see a noticeable FPS increase on the debug screen (F3) compared to vanilla, plus the Sodium video settings screen replacing the default one.
Where do I change my render distance and graphics settings now?
Sodium replaces the vanilla video settings menu, so open Video Settings and you'll find render distance, graphics quality, and performance options in Sodium's own layout. Some options are split across tabs, so check each tab rather than assuming a setting is missing.
Why did my FPS get worse after installing this modpack?
The most common cause is a shader pack or resource pack that's too heavy for your GPU, or settings carried over from vanilla that Sodium handles differently. Disable shaders first, then lower render distance and simulation distance to see if performance recovers.
Can I use shaders with Optimized FPS Modpack?
Yes, the pack is built to support shaders through Sodium's rendering pipeline. Enable them in Video Settings under the shader options, and pick a lighter shader pack if your FPS drops too far.
