How do I choose my starting airship or island?
After spawning, step through the portal to access the starting selection screen where you can pick from multiple options including floating vessels, void boats, classic sky islands, or a compact machine block start. Each option gives you different initial resources and building space, so choose based on your preferred playstyle.
What's the best way to collect sky resources as a beginner?
Build a sky scoop and mount it on the front of your airship, then fly through the void to automatically catch raw materials from the air. Once you have basic resources, upgrade to sieves and mechanical sifters to process and refine what you collect.
How do I power my airship thrusters?
Thrusters are powered by Create Aeronautics systems; you'll need to set up a power generation system (like a furnace engine or water wheel early on) and connect it to your thruster blocks using Create's mechanical power transmission.
Can I use both AE2 and Refined Storage, or do I have to pick one?
Both mods are included in the pack and work independently, so you can use either or both depending on your preference—there's no requirement to choose just one.
