Frequently asked questions

How do I make my first tools?
Gather rocks and sticks by hand, then use a crafting surface to shape them into primitive stone tools. Start with a pickaxe to mine better materials, and an axe to gather wood more efficiently.
Why do I keep getting sick?
You need to boil water before drinking it and cook raw meat before eating it. Consuming contaminated food or water causes illness—always prepare meals properly at a cooking station.
How do I survive winter?
Build a shelter with walls and a roof, keep a fire burning inside, and stockpile food in an underground cellar before temperatures drop. Wear appropriate clothing and stay near heat sources during freezing nights.
What's the best way to start farming?
Clear a flat area near water, prepare soil with a hoe, and plant seeds you've gathered from wild plants. Different crops grow better in different seasons, so diversify your crops to maintain food year-round.
