How do I get my first bodyguard?
Craft or find a bodyguard spawn egg, then right-click it in your world to summon a friendly soldier unit. You can customize which tier spawns based on the egg type you use.
What's the difference between Follow and Guard mode?
Follow mode makes your bodyguard stay near you and move with you, while Guard mode makes them stay in one location and defend that area. Switch between modes by Shift + Right-Clicking your bodyguard.
How do I change what weapon my bodyguard uses?
Right-click your bodyguard to open their inventory, then select which firearm from TACZ they should equip as their active weapon. You can also manage their spare ammo and armor in the same menu.
Do higher tier bodyguards actually fight better?
Yes, higher level bodyguards spawn with stronger firearms and heavier body armor, making them more effective in combat against hostile mobs and enemy soldiers.
Can hostile soldiers destroy my base?
Hostile soldiers can attack your structures, but you can use a Zone Marker to claim private territory that blocks explosions, fire, and hazard damage from affecting that area.
Which biomes have hostile soldier patrols?
Desert Soldiers patrol deserts and badlands, Winter Soldiers spawn in snowy biomes and taiga forests, and SWAT Soldiers guard plains and regular forests.
Do my bodyguards need ammo to fight?
Yes, bodyguards consume ammo when firing their weapons, so you need to stock their inventory with ammunition or they'll eventually run out of bullets.
Will my bodyguards attack hostile mobs or just soldiers?
Bodyguards will attack both hostile soldiers and hostile mobs, making them useful for general base defense and exploration protection.
Can I have multiple bodyguards at once?
Yes, you can spawn multiple bodyguard units to create a squad, though each one needs its own spawn egg and will consume resources independently.
Do hostile soldiers drop anything when defeated?
