Frequently asked questions
How do I get my first satchel?
Craft a satchel using the recipe available in your crafting menu—check your guides for exact ingredients. Once crafted, equip it from your inventory and it will appear on your back.
Can I have multiple satchels or just one?
You can only equip one satchel at a time as your personal bag. You can craft and store additional satchels in chests or your inventory, but only the equipped one provides access to storage and modules.
What happens to my satchel when I die?
Your satchel drops like any other item unless you have the Linking enchantment equipped, which keeps it in your inventory after death.
How do I change the color of my satchel?
Place your satchel on an armor stand or in the dye interface, then apply leather dye colors to tint the leather. The dye color also changes the tint of your satchel inventory screen.
Do modules take up inventory space or are they separate?
Modules use four dedicated attachment slots on your satchel, separate from the nine base storage slots. Items stored in modules don't count against your main bag capacity.
Can I use the Cooking Pot module to cook everything?
The Cooking Pot cooks food and smelts items slowly without requiring fuel, but it works passively over time—it's not instant like a furnace. Check your guides for what items it can process.
Does the Buckler module replace my chestplate armor?
The Buckler grants extra armor points, but you still need to wear a chestplate for full protection—it supplements rather than replaces your armor.
Can other players see what modules I have equipped?
Yes, all equipped modules appear directly on your backpack model on your back, so other players can see your active setup.
Does this mod work with other backpack mods?
Compatibility depends on how the other mod is designed; check your mod loader's log for conflicts. The mod is designed as a standalone backpack system, so running multiple backpack mods may cause issues.
Can I adjust how many slots my satchel has?
Yes, storage sizes and individual modules can be toggled on or off in the config file to customize the mod for your playstyle.
