Frequently asked questions

How do I start making gunpowder without a mob farm?
Gather basic materials like coal, sand, and redstone from the Overworld, then use any of the small or medium crafting recipes on a regular crafting table to produce your first batches of gunpowder. The Small Overworld Recipe is the easiest entry point and requires only common resources.
Which recipe gives me the most gunpowder at once?
The Potent Sulfur Recipe produces 48 gunpowder in a single craft, making it the highest-output option if you have access to sulfur. The Industrial Recipe also produces 32 gunpowder and uses only Overworld materials.
Where do I find sulfur for the sulfur recipes?
Sulfur is typically found in the Nether or obtained through villager trades and loot chests. Check your mod's configuration and exploration to locate sulfur deposits, or trade with Cleric villagers who may offer it.
Can I turn off recipes I don't want to use?
Yes, open the config/simplegunpowder.json file and set any recipe's enable flag to false to disable it. Changes take effect after you restart the game.
