How do I use a basic magnet?
Hold the Basic Magnet in your hand or keep it in your inventory and it will pull nearby dropped items toward you. Items are collected automatically once they reach you, so you don't need to click anything.
Whats the difference between basic and advanced magnet
The Advanced Magnet has a larger default range and more configuration options than the Basic Magnet. Upgrading lets you fine-tune radius and filters that the Basic Magnet can't handle.
How do I turn my magnet off?
Use a Demagnetization Coil near the magnet to disable its pulling effect. The Basic and Advanced coils cover different ranges or strengths, so pick the one that matches your setup.
My magnet wont pick up items
Check whether a Demagnetization Coil is active nearby, since it disables magnets in its area. Also make sure the magnet is actually in your inventory or hand and that its radius isn't set too small.
How do I change the magnet radius?
Open the magnet's configuration interface to adjust its radius. The Advanced Magnet exposes more range options than the Basic Magnet, so use it if you need finer control.
Can I filter what items the magnet picks up?
Yes, the Advanced Magnet supports filters so you can include or exclude specific items. Set up the filter list in its config to control what gets pulled toward you.
Does the magnet work in my inventory or only in hand?
Magnets work while in your inventory, not just when held. That means you can keep it stored and still benefit from its pulling effect.
Why are items still on the ground near me?
Your magnet's radius may be too small, or a Demagnetization Coil could be suppressing it. Items outside the configured range won't be pulled, so increase the radius or move away from any coil.
Do magnets cause lag on servers?
Magnets themselves are lightweight, but very large radii pulling many items at once can add load. Keep radii reasonable on busy servers to avoid unnecessary item movement.
Can I use magnets with other mods item pipes or hoppers?
Magnets only affect dropped items, so they won't interfere with hoppers or pipes moving items through inventories. Just watch out for Demagnetization Coils if another mod or player placed one nearby.
