Frequently asked questions

Does this mod actually remove the purple swirl effect?
Yes, the mod completely removes the swirling purple overlay that appears when you stand in a Nether portal. The transition still happens, but without the disorienting visual effect.
Will I still teleport to the Nether normally?
Absolutely. Portal functionality is unchanged—you'll teleport to the Nether at the normal time, the mod only removes the visual overlay effect.
Can I use my inventory while standing in a portal with this mod?
Yes, one of the benefits of removing the overlay is that you can now open your inventory, chat, and interact with the game while inside the portal frame.
Does this mod help with motion sickness?
Yes, players sensitive to motion blur or rapid visual effects often find the swirling portal overlay nauseating. Removing it can make portal transitions much more comfortable.
