Frequently asked questions

How do I stop a Nether portal from spreading in my world?
Place four coal blocks within the portal's spread radius to halt the Nether transformation around that specific portal. This is the mod's built-in way to freeze the spread without disabling the mod entirely.
Can I turn off Nether portal spread completely?
Yes, the config file lets you disable the spread mechanic or set the radius to zero so portals spawn without transforming surrounding terrain. You can also reduce spawn frequency if you only want fewer portals.
How do I change how far the Nether blocks spread from a portal?
Open the mod's config file and adjust the spread radius value, which defaults to 15 blocks. Lower numbers keep the Nether corruption tight around the portal; higher numbers let it reach further into your terrain.
Why is my base getting covered in Netherrack and Soul Sand?
A Nether portal spawned or was created near your base, and its spread radius is transforming nearby grass, dirt, and trees into Nether blocks. Place four coal blocks within that radius to stop it, or move the portal away from your build.
