Frequently asked questions

How do I tame a cat in this mod?
Find a wild cat in the world and hold fish in your hand near it. Right-click the cat with the fish to tame it; you'll see hearts appear when it's successfully tamed. Once tamed, the cat will follow you and wear a collar.
What do I feed cats to keep them happy?
Feed your tamed cats fish to keep their happiness up. The happier your cat, the more likely it will stay close to you and breed with other cats.
Can I breed cats together?
Yes, you can breed two tamed cats by feeding them both fish while they're near each other. After a short time, a kitten will spawn with a random color or pattern from its parents.
Where do I find rare cat colors and patterns?
Rare cats spawn naturally in the world but are less common than standard colors. You can also breed tamed cats together to have a chance of getting rare color combinations in their offspring.
