Frequently asked questions

How do I get my first Bedrock block?
Collect 2 lava buckets, 2 water buckets, 4 obsidian, and 1 Netherite ingot, then place them in the crafting table using the mod's recipe to create 1 bedrock block. You'll need to visit the Nether to gather lava and find Netherite to get started.
Can I break Bedrock once I place it?
No, bedrock blocks are permanent once placed and cannot be broken by any conventional method—not even with a pickaxe or explosives. Place bedrock carefully and only where you intend it to stay permanently.
Where do I find Netherite for the recipe?
Netherite ingots are crafted by smelting ancient debris (found in the Nether) with gold ingots in a furnace. You'll need to mine in the Nether at low Y-levels to find ancient debris.
Can I use a bucket to collect lava and water from the same source?
Yes, you can reuse buckets—collect lava from one source and water from another, then use those same buckets in the crafting recipe. The buckets are consumed in the recipe, so you'll need to gather new ones for your next bedrock block.
