How do I find castles in my world?
Castles generate naturally throughout most biomes as you explore. They're large multi-story structures, so climbing high or traveling far from your spawn point increases your chances of spotting one. If castles aren't appearing, check your datapack settings to ensure they're enabled for your world's biomes.
Can I control where castles spawn?
Yes, you can use datapacks to modify spawn spacing, separation distance between castles, and which biomes generate them. This lets you make castles rarer or more common, or restrict them to specific biome types.
Why do I see different materials on the same castle?
Castle Shift Mod randomly selects materials for roofs, walls, and stairs each time a castle generates, so every fortress has a unique color palette. You may also see weathering effects where stone bricks are replaced with cobblestone, andesite, or cracked variants for a worn appearance.
How many floors do castles have?
All castles generated by this mod have four complete stories, with corridors, rooms, and staircases connecting each level. You can climb towers to reach the highest points and explore distinct room layouts on every floor.
