Block Dithering Mod adds a dithered transparency fade to blocks that obstruct your view. Blocks fade out as you walk near them and return to their normal vanilla look from a distance. This mod runs entirely on the client side, making it safe for multiplayer servers without needing server-side setup.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn on block fading?
Open the mod settings menu (usually accessible from the pause menu or main menu) and the fading effect is enabled by default. If blocks aren't fading when you walk close to them, check that Fade Distance is set to a value greater than zero.
Why can't I see through faded blocks?
Faded blocks use dithering, which creates a transparent pattern rather than solid transparency—you should see the area behind them through the dotted effect. If you see completely solid blocks, try increasing Minimum Visibility or decreasing Fade Distance to trigger the effect at closer range.
Can I make only certain blocks fade, like glass or leaves?
Yes, use the Whitelist feature in settings and add the block IDs or tags you want to fade (for example, `minecraft:glass` or `#minecraft:leaves`). When whitelist mode is active, only the blocks you specify will fade.
How do I stop specific blocks from fading?
Use the Blacklist feature and add those block IDs, tags, or wildcards (for example, `minecraft:obsidian` or `minecraft:*ore*`). Blacklisted blocks will never fade out, even when you're standing directly in front of them.
