Overview
IC2 Classic (IC2C) is a complete reimagining and modernization of the legendary IndustrialCraft 2 mod from the 1.4.7 era. While it maintains the 'Classic' feel and logic established by Alblaka, it has been extensively expanded by Speiger to include modern features, better performance, and integrated addons.
The mod centers around Energy Units (EU), a power system used to run a vast array of machinery. Unlike many modern mods that use a 'one-size-fits-all' power system, IC2 Classic utilizes voltage tiers and cable loss, requiring players to carefully plan their factory layouts. It is designed to be an 'assistance mod'—providing powerful tools to help your journey without forcing you to abandon vanilla mechanics unless you choose to dive deep into its automation capabilities.
