Overview

CC: Tweaked is a comprehensive overhaul and continuation of the classic ComputerCraft mod. It introduces fully functional, programmable computers into the Minecraft world, allowing players to automate tasks, manage complex inventories, and create intricate redstone systems using the Lua programming language.

The mod is built on the Cobalt Lua runtime, supporting features from Lua 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3. Whether you are building a simple automated door or a massive multi-turtle mining operation, CC: Tweaked provides the hardware and software tools necessary for high-level automation.

CommandWhat it does
/computercraftThe /computercraft command provides various debugging and administrator tools for controlling and interacting with computers.
/computercraft dumpDisplay the status of all computers or specific information about one computer. You can specify the computer's instance id (e.g. 123), computer id (e.g #123) or label (e.g. "@My Computer").
/computercraft queueSend a computer_command event to a command computer, passing through the additional arguments. This is mostly designed for map makers, acting as a more computer-friendly version of /trigger. Any player can run the comman
/computercraft shutdownShutdown the listed computers or all if none are specified. You can specify the computer's instance id (e.g. 123), computer id (e.g #123) or label (e.g. "@My Computer").
/computercraft tpTeleport to the location of a computer. You can either specify the computer's instance id (e.g. 123) or computer id (e.g #123).
/computercraft trackTrack how long computers execute for, as well as how many events they handle. This presents information in a similar way to /forge track and can be useful for diagnosing lag.
/computercraft track dumpDump the latest results of computer tracking.
/computercraft track startStart tracking all computers' execution times and event counts. This will discard the results of previous runs.
/computercraft track stopStop tracking all computers' events and execution times
/computercraft turn_onTurn on the listed computers. You can specify the computer's instance id (e.g. 123), computer id (e.g #123) or label (e.g. "@My Computer").
/computercraft viewOpen the terminal of a computer, allowing remote control of a computer. This does not provide access to turtle's inventories. You can either specify the computer's instance id (e.g. 123) or computer id (e.g #123).

Frequently asked questions

How do I craft a basic Computer?
Craft a Computer using a crafting_shaped recipe that includes a Printed Page or similar components from the mod's recipe set. Place it down and right-click to open its terminal interface.
How do I make a Monitor and connect it to my Computer?
Craft a Monitor as a block, place it adjacent to or near your Computer, then connect them using Networking Cable. The Computer can then detect and write to the Monitor through its peripheral API.
How do I craft a Wired Modem and what does it do?
The Wired Modem is a block crafted via the mod's recipes; place it and attach Networking Cable to it to bridge computers and peripherals on a wired network. Right-click it to see connected network names.
How do I use a Wireless Modem to connect computers remotely?
Craft and place a Wireless Modem on or next to a Computer, then open the computer and use the peripheral/rednet APIs to send messages. Two computers with Wireless Modems on the same channel can communicate without cables.
How do I craft a Turtle and what is it used for?
Turtles are crafted using the computercraft:turtle recipe type, typically combining a Computer with a chest or tool. They are programmable robots that can move, dig, place blocks, and interact with the world via Lua.
How do I make an Advanced Turtle?
Advanced Turtles are produced using the computercraft:turtle_overlay recipe type, upgrading a base Turtle with advanced components like gold or similar materials. They support color output and additional peripheral capabilities compared to standard Turtles.
How do I use a mining Turtle to dig automatically?
Place a Turtle and open its interface, then write or paste a Lua program using turtle.dig(), turtle.forward(), and turtle.digUp()/digDown() to excavate. Fuel the Turtle first with items like coal so it has movement energy.
How do I craft a Disk Drive and Floppy Disk?
Craft the Disk Drive as a block and the Floppy Disk as an item using the mod's shaped recipes. Insert a Floppy Disk into a Disk Drive adjacent to a Computer to read and write files from Lua.
How do I use a Printer and Printed Pages?
Place a Printer block and supply it with Printed Pages and dye via its inventory. A Computer connected to the Printer can send pages to be printed, producing Printed Books or filled pages.
How do I craft a Pocket Computer and what can it do?
Craft a Pocket Computer using the mod's recipes; it is a portable computer item you can hold and open anywhere. Advanced Pocket Computers add color support and can run the same Lua programs as regular computers.
How do I use a Speaker with my Computer?
Place a Speaker block adjacent to a Computer or connect it via a Wired Modem and Networking Cable. The Computer can then call the speaker peripheral's playSound and playNote methods to produce audio.
What is the Command Computer and how do I get one?
The Command Computer is a block that can run Minecraft commands through its Lua API when the player has permission. It is typically obtained via creative or admin recipes rather than standard survival crafting.
