How to Print and Share Books and Pages

Printing Pages

A Printer produces Printed Pages and Printed Books. Place the Printer and give it the paper and ink items it needs, then send print jobs from a Computer or Advanced Computer. A Printed Page holds a single sheet of text. A Printed Pages item is a bound stack of pages. A Printed Book is the finished book form. Use a Disk Drive and Floppy Disk to carry the source text between machines so you can print from any Computer that can reach the Printer.

Assembling and Distributing

Print the pages you need, then combine them into a Printed Book. The book keeps the text you wrote, so you can hand copies to other players or leave them in chests as instructions. Printed Pages are useful for short notes, signs, and single-sheet handouts, while Printed Books suit longer guides and manuals. If a print job fails, check that the Printer has paper and ink and that the Computer can see the Printer peripheral. Keep a Floppy Disk copy of any text you print often so you can reprint it without retyping. Use Printed Books for server rules, machine instructions, and tutorials that players can read without opening a Computer.
