How do I find a Better Nether Fortress?
Craft a Fortress Locator (or use the mod's structure-finding method) and use it in the Nether to point you toward the nearest fortress. Fortresses are rarer and larger than vanilla ones, so expect to travel a fair distance before you spot the bridge networks.
Why can't I find a fortress where one used to be in vanilla?
This mod replaces vanilla fortress generation, so old fortress locations won't spawn the new structures. You need to explore newly generated chunks in the Nether to find a Better Nether Fortress.
What are the three main parts of the fortress?
Each fortress is made up of the bridge networks up top, the Keep (the main interior structure), and the Lava Halls that extend underground. You'll usually encounter the bridges first, then the Keep, then descend into the Lava Halls.
How do I get inside the Keep?
Follow the bridge networks until they connect to the Keep's outer walls, then look for an entrance or gap rather than trying to mine straight through. The Keep is multi-leveled, so expect stairs, corridors, and locked or blocked sections you'll need to navigate around.
