How do I block with my sword?
Hold a sword in your main hand and right-click (use) while an attack is incoming. Your character will raise the sword into a defensive block, and any damage taken during that block is reduced.
Does sword blocking work in my version of the game?
Yes, that's the whole point of this mod. It re-adds the old right-click sword block to modern versions of the game where it was removed in favor of shields.
How much damage does sword blocking reduce?
A successful sword block reduces incoming damage by half. It's not a full negation like a shield can be, so you'll still take some damage.
Can I block arrows and projectiles with a sword?
Yes, right-clicking with a sword blocks incoming projectiles the same way it blocks melee attacks, reducing the damage you take. It won't deflect the projectile back, it just softens the hit.
