Frequently asked questions
How do I start seeing random events after installing the mod?
Simply walk around different biomes in your world—the mod automatically triggers random encounters as you explore. Events will begin spawning based on your current configuration settings, so you don't need to do anything special to activate them.
Why aren't I seeing any faction battles?
Check your configuration settings to ensure faction battles are enabled and that your event timer isn't set too high. If battles are on, try exploring different biomes and traveling further from your spawn point, as encounters are random and may take time to occur.
How do I make events happen more frequently?
Open Mods > Config and lower your event timer value—smaller numbers mean events trigger more often. For example, 1200 ticks creates events roughly every minute, while 12000 ticks spaces them out to about every 10 minutes.
Can I turn off specific spawns or events I don't like?
Yes, the mod lets you toggle every spawn type and event individually in the settings menu. You can disable faction battles, random mobs, guards, miners, or any other feature while keeping the rest active.
Where should I look to find miner villagers?
Explore caves and underground areas—miner villagers spawn naturally in these locations when the mod is active. The deeper you go, the better your chances of finding them.
Do guards protect villages from hostile mobs?
Guards spawn in villages to defend against danger, adding protection to these locations. They'll engage with hostile mobs and faction enemies that threaten the villagers.
Will this mod work without Villagers Reborn installed?
Yes, the mod works perfectly on its own to fill your world with new creatures, battles, and events. Villagers Reborn integration is optional and adds extra compatibility features.
Do different biomes spawn different mobs?
Yes, the mod spawns biome-specific fantasy creatures depending on where you are in the world. Exploring various biomes will give you encounters with different types of mobs.
What loot do the new creatures drop?
The mod gives special loot and dropped items when you defeat new fantasy creatures, though the specific items vary by mob type. Check your inventory after battles to see what you've collected.
Can I watch two armies fight without interfering?
Yes, you can stumble upon faction battles while exploring and observe rival groups fighting each other. You're free to watch, join in, or leave the encounter as you choose.
