Picking Targets
Most players install this mod for a handful of recurring irritants rather than to silence the game. Typical candidates are constant ambient loops, repetitive machine or block noises, and mob
sounds that play far more often than they are useful. Because filtering is by sound event, you can remove the annoyance without losing audio cues you rely on.
A Practical Workflow
1. Open the interface and search for the general keyword of the offending sound.
2. Play the game briefly with the list open in your mind — note which entries actually fire when the noise occurs.
3. Mute or lower only those entries, leaving related but useful
sounds untouched.
For example, if a specific ambient loop bothers you, search for the ambient keyword and reduce just that entry instead of muting all ambience. If a machine hum is the problem, search for the block or machine name and attenuate rather than fully mute, so you still hear when it starts and stops.
Keep a mental note of what you changed. It is easy to mute a sound, forget, and later wonder why a warning cue is missing. If you lose track, reopen the list — muted entries are visibly toggled off, so you can review and restore them in one pass.
