How do I start generating power with this mod?
The easiest way to start is with a Lava Duct Turbine: place one directly into a lava pool, put a Lava Duct Shaft on top of it, and supply water to the turbine. This gives you passive early-game power without needing fuel or complex setup.
What's the difference between lava turbines and steam turbines?
Lava Duct Turbines are simple and early-game—they just need lava and water. Steam Turbines are late-game and produce much more power, but require a Steam Boiler to create steam, Pressurized Pipes to move it, and a Steam Compressor to increase pressure before the turbine can use it.
How do I connect multiple turbines to one power network?
Use a Turbine Shaft to collect rotational power from multiple turbines connected to it. The shaft will combine all their spinning force into one output that you can feed into your Create machinery.
Why isn't my steam turbine producing power?
Check that your Steam Boiler is actually creating steam (it needs fuel and water), your Pressurized Pipes are delivering steam to a Steam Compressor, and the compressed steam is reaching the turbine. Use the diagnostic tool to read your current RPM and SU levels to identify where the problem is.
Can I use steam jet thrusters on any flying machine?
Steam Jet Thrusters work on any flying contraption you build with Create's mechanical parts. Feed them compressed steam through Pressurized Pipes and they'll push your aircraft forward—the more thrusters and higher the pressure, the faster you'll go.
What does the diagnostic tool do?
The diagnostic tool reads your current RPM (rotations per minute) and SU (Stress Units) levels in real-time, helping you identify bottlenecks or problems in your power network without guessing.
How does the redstone-controlled gearshift work?
The gearshift changes the speed and direction of rotation based on the redstone signal it receives, letting you control your machinery with redstone logic without stopping and restarting it.
Do I need to update my old turbine blocks when I update the mod?
Yes—the mod changed its internal block names in an update, so you'll need to replace any old turbine blocks with new ones for them to work properly.
Can I make a compact power system or do steam turbines need lots of space?
You can build compact systems, but steam turbines generally need more infrastructure than lava turbines because you need a boiler, compressor, and pipe network. Lava turbines are better for tight spaces since they only need lava, water, and the turbine itself.
What's the best fuel to use in a Steam Boiler?
The wiki doesn't specify fuel types, but any fuel that works in standard Create furnaces should work in the Steam Boiler—experiment with what you have available and use the diagnostic tool to compare power output.
