Can I use commands to get capes instead of crafting?

Yes, use commands like `/give @s batmancapes:batman_cape` or `/give @s batmancapes:black_and_gray_cape` to instantly receive any cape variant.

Why doesn't my cape animate smoothly when I fly?

If you have Elytra Physics mod installed, add the Batman Capes layer code to your elytra-physics-config.json file in the inject_layers array so the cape physics work correctly together.

Does the cape animate when I walk and crouch?

Yes, the cape has special animations—it spreads out when you crouch and flaps naturally when you glide through the air.

Will the cape work with physics mods?

The cape is designed to work with physics mods like Elytra Physics, which makes the fabric swing and bounce realistically as you move; just configure it properly if needed.

Can I use a cape on a multiplayer server?

Yes, as long as the server has the mod installed, you can equip and use capes like any other player-side cosmetic item.

Do capes give me any gameplay advantages?

No, capes are purely cosmetic and replace the elytra visually only—they don't change gliding speed, fall damage, or any other mechanics.

Frequently asked questions

How do I equip a

Batman cape?

Craft or obtain a

Batman cape, then equip it like you would an elytra in your chestplate slot. The cape will immediately replace your elytra visually and functionally.

Do I need an elytra to use the cape?

Yes, the cape replaces the elytra item itself, so you need an elytra in your inventory to craft into a cape, or you can use commands to spawn cape variants directly.

What's the difference between the cape styles?

Each style is based on different Batman comic and movie versions—like the classic black and gray suit, the blue and gray variant, the animated series look, and the Arkham City design. They're purely cosmetic and function identically.

How do I craft a cape in survival mode?

Use the custom crafting recipes added by the mod; check your crafting menu or the mod's crafting guide for the specific ingredients and layout for each cape style.
