Frequently asked questions

Where do I find jaguars?
Jaguars spawn in jungle biomes, typically near water or dense vegetation. They often travel in small family groups with cubs, so look for multiple cats together rather than solitary animals.
How do I breed animals in this mod?
Feed two animals of the same species their preferred food item, and they will enter breeding mode and produce offspring. Baby animals take time to grow into adults before they can breed again.
Can I tame or domesticate these animals?
These animals cannot be tamed like wolves or cats in vanilla Minecraft—they remain wild and will behave naturally in their biomes. You can observe and interact with them, but they won't follow you or become pets.
What do crocodiles eat and how do I collect their eggs?
Crocodiles hunt fish and small animals in water; you can find their eggs on sandy beaches and riverbanks near water. Collect the eggs carefully and keep them in appropriate conditions to hatch them into babies.
Do hippos attack players?
Hippos are aggressive when provoked or when you get too close to their babies, so keep your distance and avoid sudden movements around family groups. They're territorial animals and will defend their young.
What biomes have rhinoceroses?
Rhinoceroses spawn in savanna biomes, particularly in areas with acacia trees and open grassland. They're generally peaceful grazers but will defend themselves if threatened.
Will these animals despawn like other mobs?
Named animals or those in specific conditions typically won't despawn, but unnamed wild animals may disappear if you travel far away. Use name tags or keep them in enclosed habitats to preserve them long-term.
Do these animals drop useful items when killed?
Yes, animals drop materials related to their type that can be used for crafting blocks and items themed around the mod's wildlife. Check your guides for specific drops from each creature.
Can I build enclosures to keep animals in my base?
You can create habitats using appropriate blocks and water features to match each animal's natural environment, encouraging them to stay and breed. Make sure enclosures are large enough and have the right terrain for the species.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod adds active wildlife to biomes which can impact performance on lower-end systems, especially with many animals spawned at once. Consider adjusting spawn rates in the mod's config if you experience slowdowns.
