Finding Your First Deep Aether Biome

Once you have the mod installed, your first goal is locating Deep Aether content. The mod expands the Aether dimension rather than the Overworld, so you will need to build an Aether portal using glowstone and water in the standard Aether mod fashion. Once in the Aether, explore outward from your spawn island. Deep Aether biomes generate alongside vanilla Aether terrain, so look for color shifts in the terrain — aercloud vegetation, aether mud patches, and aseterite formations signal you have entered new territory.

Gathering Early Resources

Your priority materials are holystone (for bricks), aseterite, and aether mud. Mine these with at least a stone-tier pickaxe. Collect Aerglow Blossoms when you spot them — these are useful for crafting and decoration. Keep an eye out for Quail, which drop meat you can cook, and Aerglow Fish in water pools. Craft a Bronze Compass early if you can gather the materials, as it helps with navigation across the expanded dimension. Set up a small base near a biome border so you have easy access to both vanilla Aether and Deep Aether resources.
