Mining and Processing Raw Materials

Aseterite and Aether Mud are two core building materials in Deep Aether. Mine Aseterite from Deep Aether biome terrain — it appears as a stone-like block. Aether Mud is found in muddy patches, often near water. Both require at least a stone pickaxe to harvest. Once you have raw Aseterite, smelt or craft it into Aseterite Bricks using a crafting table or furnace as appropriate. Aether Mud can be crafted directly into Aether Mud Bricks. These bricks then unlock a full family of decorative variants.

Crafting Variants: Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

From Aseterite Bricks you can craft Aseterite Brick Slabs, Aseterite Brick Stairs, and Aseterite Brick Wall. Similarly, Aether Mud Bricks yield Aether Mud Brick Slab, Aether Mud Brick Stairs, and Aether Mud Brick Wall. Use a stonecutter for efficient conversion — one block yields multiple slabs or stairs. Plain Aseterite also has its own Slab and Stairs variants. These blocks are ideal for building themed structures that match Deep Aether's aesthetic. Combine them with Holystone Bricks and Aercloud vegetation for a cohesive look. Ambrosium Tiki Torches make excellent light sources for these builds.
