How to Use the Bonescaller Staff and Bone-Themed Gear

What the Staff Does

The Bonescaller Staff is a caster weapon dropped by or associated with the Bonescaller mob. It lets you summon or command skeletal minions, flipping the mod's summoner fantasy onto the player.

Getting and Using It

1. Farm Bonescallers. They are the source of the staff. Fight them using the caster-first strategy: kill the summoner, not the summons.

2. Equip the staff in your main hand. Right-click to cast. The exact effect depends on the staff's mode — experiment in a safe area first.

3. Test away from your base. Summoned minions can be hostile to you if misused, and they can damage builds.

Supporting Bone Gear

• Bone Handle is a crafting component used in bone-themed recipes. Collect bones from skeletons and mod skeletons to make them.
• Bundle of Bones is a storage or crafting block — useful for keeping bone materials organized.
• Bone Heart is a mod item tied to skeletal crafting or effects. Check the recipe in JEI/REI once you have one.
• Baby Skeleton and Bone Imp Spawn Eggs (Minion) summon controlled minions. Use them as disposable helpers, not base defenders — they can be killed easily.

Practical Tips

Pair the staff with a shield so you can cast and block. Do not rely on minions in tight corridors where they block your escape. Keep a backup melee weapon in case the staff runs out of uses or charges.
