The Threat

Phantom Creepers and Phantom Bombs are the mod's answer to "what if creepers were worse." They are explosive, and the Phantom variants add a wrinkle — they can appear or behave in ways that make them harder to track than a normal creeper.

Detection and Avoidance

1. Listen before you look. Creeper hisses are your warning. If you hear one, stop moving and scan.

2. Watch for the fuse animation. The moment it starts, you have seconds. Sprint away, do not backpedal.

3. Do not fight them in your base. Lure them outside or into water before engaging.

4. Use a bow if you have one. Killing them at range is the safest option.

If One Detonates Near Your Build

  • Expect block damage similar to or worse than a vanilla creeper. Reinforce walls with stone or argillite if you live in a creeper-prone area.
  • Keep a water bucket on your hotbar. Water negates fall damage and can wash you away from a blast.
  • Do not store valuables against outer walls. Put chests in an interior room.

Phantom Bomb Note

Phantom Bombs are thrown or placed explosives tied to the mod. Treat any unfamiliar bomb-looking block as live. Do not stand next to it, and do not test it inside your base.
