Treat the first night like a siege: wall off or light up your base early, since this mod's mobs spawn aggressively and many ignore normal safety assumptions. Prioritize a bed and a sealed shelter before exploring, and don't wander at night until you have real gear.

Several Born in Chaos mobs don't follow vanilla spawning rules, so torches alone won't stop them. Build with solid blocks, use doors and traps, and expect some mobs like Phantom Creepers or Bonescaller summons to bypass your usual defenses.

Black Argillite is the mod's signature building stone, used for bricks, slabs, stairs, walls, columns, buttons, and pressure plates. You mine it in the mod's structures or world generation and then craft the decorative variants from the base block.

The Bonescaller summons minions like Baby Skeletons and Bone Imps, so kill it first or you'll be overwhelmed. Its Bonescaller Staff drops are worth grabbing, and the Bone Handle and Bone Heart it drops feed into bone-themed gear.

Dread Hounds and Dire Hound Leaders track players relentlessly, so break line of sight and use Closed Hound Traps to catch them. Fighting them in the open is a mistake — funnel them into a chokepoint or trap corridor.

Phantom Creepers phase through walls and Phantom Bombs explode, so block-based shelters aren't safe. Kill them at range before they reach you, and never let a Phantom Creeper get behind your base walls.

The Bonescaller Staff lets you summon your own bone-themed minions, mirroring the Bonescaller mob's ability. Pair it with Bone Handles and Bone Hearts to build out the full bone gear set.

Chaos Components and Chaos Icons are the mod's progression and crafting materials tied to its achievements and equipment. Collect them from mob drops and structures to unlock the mod's higher-tier gear.

It generally works alongside other mods, but stacking it with other aggressive-mob or spawn-overhaul mods can make nights unplayable. Test in a fresh world first, and be ready to tune spawn settings if things get out of hand.

The mod adds many mobs, structures, and blocks, so large mob piles or heavy structure generation can cost TPS on weaker servers. Keep mob farms contained and avoid loading many mod structures at once if you see lag.
