Alex's Mobs adds several small tamable companions — Crows, Capuchin Monkeys, Gelada Monkeys, and more. Each has a unique taming item and a useful perk.

Taming Basics

Approach the mob calmly and right-click it with its preferred food. Crows accept seeds; Capuchins accept bananas and similar fruit. Keep feeding until hearts appear. If the mob flees, back off and try again — chasing scares them.

What Each Companion Does

  • Crows can be sent to fetch items and will pick up dropped loot nearby.
  • Capuchin Monkeys can be given a helmet and will throw it at enemies.
  • Gelada Monkeys are social and can be bred for fur drops.

Breeding

Feed two tamed adults their breeding food to produce a baby. Babies take time to mature; feeding them speeds growth. Breed pairs repeatedly for a steady supply of drops like fur or feathers.

Tips

  • Use a lead to move companions between bases.
  • Companions follow you when tamed — right-click to make them sit.
  • Keep them away from hostile Nether mobs added by the mod, which can kill them quickly.
