How to Survive and Fight Nether Mobs Added by Alex's Mobs

Alex's Mobs adds hostile Nether creatures that make the dimension far more dangerous. Knowing their behavior keeps you alive.

Common Threats

• Crimson Mosquitoes swarm and drain health; they breed in Crimson Forest blood pools.
• Bone Serpents burrow through Netherrack and ambush from below.
• Devils Hole Pupfish and other oddities appear in specific pockets.

Defensive Tactics

• Carry a shield — many of these mobs hit hard and fast.
• Light up your Nether base thoroughly; most hostiles spawn in darkness.
• Avoid standing still over Netherrack in Bone Serpent territory; keep moving.
• Use ranged weapons on Crimson Mosquitoes before they close distance.

Drops Worth Farming

Bone Serpent Bones craft into useful gear. Crimson Mosquito drops feed into potions and crafting. Check the Animal Dictionary for each mob's drop table.

Tips

• Bring Fire Resistance potions — the Nether plus new mobs is brutal.
• Build a roofed shelter before exploring.
• Never fight swarms alone; retreat and pick them off one at a time.
