How to Craft and Use Trophies, Hides, and Mod Equipment

Alex's Mobs adds hides, trophies, and equipment crafted from mob drops. These give cosmetic and functional rewards for hunting.

Gathering Materials

Kill or tame mobs to collect hides and unique drops: Bison Fur, Bear Dust, Bone Serpent Bones, Ambergris, and more. Each mob's Animal Dictionary entry lists its drops.

Crafting Trophies

Trophies are decorative blocks made from a mob's head or signature drop. Place them on walls in your base to show off kills. Recipes vary per mob — check JEI/REI for the exact layout.

Crafting Equipment

• Bison Fur crafts into carpets and blocks for decoration.
• Bone Serpent Bones craft into weapons and tools.
• Antler Headdress and similar wearables provide buffs or cosmetic effects.

Tips

• Store rare drops in a dedicated chest; many are used across multiple recipes.
• Trophies can be mounted on walls like vanilla heads.
• Some equipment requires a smithing table or anvil — check the recipe viewer.
• Breed farmable mobs (Bison, Gelada Monkeys) for a renewable supply of hides and fur.
