How to Find and Farm Ambergris from Cachalot Whales

Ambergris is a valuable Alex's Mobs drop used in high-tier crafting. It comes from Cachalot Whales, which spawn in deep ocean biomes.

Locating Cachalot Whales

Sail or swim into deep ocean biomes and look for large whale silhouettes near the surface. They are peaceful unless attacked. Bring a boat and a way to breathe underwater (potions or a conduit).

Getting Ambergris

Ambergris is not a guaranteed drop — it appears occasionally when a Cachalot Whale is killed or when it naturally expels it. The most reliable method is to find Ambergris floating in the water near whales, or to harvest it from a whale you've killed. Uses
