Regions Unexplored ships with a configuration file that lets you tune how the mod behaves in your world. If you're running a pack and want RU biomes to appear more or less often, or want to disable specific features, the config is where you do it.

Finding the config

After launching the game once with RU installed, look in your instance's config folder for the Regions Unexplored config file. Open it with a plain text editor. Changes take effect on the next world load.

What you can typically adjust

Config options usually cover biome spawn weighting, whether specific biome families are enabled, and whether certain worldgen features generate. If you're building a themed pack — say, only cold biomes — you can disable the warm families so they don't dilute the world. If you want RU to be the dominant biome source, raise the weights.

Testing changes

Create a fresh test world after each config edit and fly around in creative to confirm the biomes you want are appearing. Don't tune on your main survival world — worldgen changes only apply to newly generated chunks, so existing terrain won't update.

Compatibility notes

Because RU integrates with Macaw's Mods, disabling an RU wood type in config may also remove its Macaw's variants. Check your build palette before disabling a species you rely on.
