What is Litematica?
Litematica is a client-side schematic mod that lets you preview, place, and verify builds in-world using ghost block overlays. It is primarily aimed at light mod loaders like LiteLoader, Rift, and Fabric, with extra features for creative mode work.
What is the Litematica hotkey to open the menu?
The default hotkey to open the Litematica main menu is M. M + C opens the config menu directly, and M + P opens the Schematic Placements menu.
Does Litematica work with shaders?
Litematica's rendering does not currently work properly with shaders (even with Iris) in 1.21.3+, so you need to disable shaders when using schematic rendering. On older MC versions it works better with shaders, but Optifine is generally much more problematic than Sodium with Iris.
Does Litematica have a printer?
No, Litematica does not have a built-in printer to place blocks for you. The printer is not planned for Litematica itself and is instead left to extension mods.
What is Easy Place mode in Litematica?
Easy Place is a mode that helps with block placement, but some servers may not allow it. Use it carefully on multiplayer servers.
Does Litematica show a material list?
Yes, Litematica creates a material list that shows every block you need for your build, calculated into stacks.
Does Litematica save item frames and paintings?
Yes, Litematica saves entities like item frames and paintings inside the schematic.
What Minecraft versions does Litematica support?
Litematica supports Fabric, Forge, LiteLoader, Ornithe, and Rift loaders across versions including 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2, and 26.3. The Forge version currently only exists for MC 1.12.2; later versions rely on third-party ports like Forgematica.
What is the Litematica tool item?
The tool item is by default a stick, and its functionality can be toggled with M + T. Holding the tool and using Ctrl + scroll cycles through the different tool modes.
Can Litematica build layer by layer?
Yes, Litematica lets you build complex structures by viewing them one layer at a time. Page Up/Down changes the selected layer, and M + Page Up/Down changes the render layers mode.
