Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install this as a mod or is it just a resource pack?
STONEBORN is a resource pack only—it changes how vanilla items look and their names, but doesn't add new items or mechanics. Drop it into your resource packs folder and enable it in your world settings.
My helmet eye slits don't line up with my character's eyes. How do I fix this?
STONEBORN includes two setup options for high-eyes and low-eyes character skins. Check which skin type you use, then enable the matching variant in your resource pack settings to align the helmet eye holes correctly.
Can I mix different armor pieces from different sets together?
Yes—STONEBORN is designed to let you combine different armor pieces (like mixing golden ringmail with crystalline diamond legs) to create your own custom dwarven look.
What happens to my elytra when I install this pack?
Your elytra reskins into the Glissothopter, a mechanical dwarven glider with detailed fantasy styling. It functions exactly like a normal elytra—only the appearance changes.
Does the turtle shell helmet turn into something else?
Yes, the turtle shell becomes an underwater rebreather mask with a dwarven aesthetic, but it keeps all the same protective properties and water-breathing functionality.
Will this pack work with my other resource packs?
STONEBORN may conflict with other packs that reskin the same items (armor, tools, elytra, turtle shell). Load STONEBORN lower in your resource pack list if you want other packs to take priority, or higher if you want STONEBORN's textures on top.
Do leather armor pieces look like cloaks and cowls now?
Yes—leather armor is restyled as traveling cloaks and cowls to fit an explorer theme, giving you fantasy-themed protective gear without needing to wear heavy plate.
Are the item names changed in my inventory?
Yes, STONEBORN updates item names throughout your inventory to match the rustic fantasy setting—so you'll see dwarven-themed names instead of vanilla ones.
Does this pack affect my game performance?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures and names. STONEBORN should run smoothly on most systems without noticeable lag.
Can I disable certain reskins and keep others?
This depends on the pack's configuration options—check your resource pack settings in-game to see if STONEBORN offers toggles for specific items like the elytra or armor sets.
