Frequently asked questions

How do I know if an item is cursed if I can't see the curse in the tooltip?
Look for a red-colored item name in your tooltip—this is the main visual indicator that an item has a hidden curse. Items that are cursed will also lack the enchantment glint (the shimmery effect) even if they have curses applied, which is another clue to watch for.
Can I still see what curse an item has before I pick it up?
No, the curse type remains completely hidden until you interact with the item or equip it. This is the core mechanic of the mod—you won't know if it's a Curse of Binding, Curse of Vanishing, or another curse until you experience it.
Do cursed items still have the glint effect?
No, items that only have curses and no regular enchantments will not display the enchantment glint at all, making them appear as plain items despite being cursed.
What should I do if I find a cursed item in loot?
Approach it carefully—check the item name color first. If it's red, treat it as potentially dangerous and either avoid equipping it or use it in a controlled setting where you can test what curse it has without consequences.
