How do I find my first trade depot?
Trade depots spawn naturally across the world as you explore. Look for distinctive corporate outpost structures in the sky and on terrain. Once you find one, right-click the Depot Interface block to see available contracts and shop inventory.
What's the difference between delivery contracts and salvage leads?
Delivery contracts ask you to haul specific cargo between depots for currency and reputation rewards. Salvage leads are purchasable maps that point you toward shipwrecks where you can strip valuable machine parts and complete cleanup tasks for additional rewards.
Do I need to complete contracts for a specific corporation or can I work with all of them?
You can work with all corporations and build reputation with each one independently. Higher reputation with a corporation unlocks better contracts and rarer shop items, so diversifying your work is encouraged.
What does a RIVET block actually do?
Place a RIVET block on your airship to access a remote interface showing all connected vault inventories and your full cargo manifest. It also maintains a log of every trade depot you've visited, making it easy to navigate back to previous locations.
Can I strip parts from any shipwreck or only ones from salvage leads?
You can strip components from any derelict wreck you find, but salvage leads give you a map to specific wrecks and track completion of formal salvage cleanup tasks that reward currency and reputation.
What happens if I don't complete a delivery contract in time?
The mod doesn't enforce strict time limits on contracts, but failing to deliver or abandoning jobs may affect your reputation with that corporation and lock you out of better opportunities.
Do the depot shops restock their inventory?
Yes, depot shops rotate their stock over time, and higher corporate reputation unlocks access to rarer and upgraded items like specialized vehicle mechanisms and exclusive components.
Can I use RIVET blocks to transfer cargo between airships?
RIVET blocks let you manage and inspect connected vault storage on your current vessel; they don't directly transfer cargo between separate airships, but they give you full visibility of your shipboard inventory.
What's the best way to earn reputation quickly?
Complete multiple delivery contracts with the same corporation and finish salvage leads in their territory. Higher-tier contracts become available as your reputation grows, offering better rewards.
Do I need Create: Aeronautics installed to use this mod?
Yes, Skybound Mercantile Network extends Create: Aeronautics, so you must have that mod installed and configured first to pilot aircraft and access trade depots.
