Overview

Requiem completely revamps the vanilla death experience. Instead of a simple respawn screen and item loss, players are presented with a choice upon their first death: remain Mortal or become a Remnant (Demon). Choosing the path of the Remnant allows the player to continue playing as a ghost after death, seeking out new host bodies to possess.

The Choice

  • Mortal: Death remains vanilla. You lose items and respawn at your bed or world spawn.
  • Remnant: Upon death, your soul leaves your body. You become a Vagrant (ghost) and must find a suitable host to return to the physical world.
