Frequently asked questions

How do I start playing this mod?
Open your game control options to bind keys for spells and your power menu, then explore your world to find an Offering Altar—these generate naturally across biomes. Once you find one, you can begin summoning spirits or claiming Divine Protections to start your magical journey.
What's the difference between Authorities and Divine Protections?
Divine Protections are passive buffs you claim from Offering Altars that boost your magic and weapons, and you can carry multiple of them. Authorities are powerful perks unlocked through Pandora's Box that give strong combat abilities, but choosing an Authority prevents you from carrying Divine Protections, forcing you to pick a different progression path.
How do I get an Authority?
Find or craft Pandora's Box, then open its fusion menu to combine specific items and unlock one of the four Authorities: Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, or Wrath. Each Authority grants unique combat perks suited to different playstyles.
Do spells get stronger over time?
Yes—the mod features a six-element magic system where spells grow more powerful the more you cast them in combat. Repeatedly using the same spell trains it and boosts its effectiveness.
Where do I find Offering Altars?
Offering Altars generate randomly across your world in various biomes. Explore different terrain types and keep an eye out for the distinctive stone altar structure, or check your minimap if you have one enabled.
Can I ride the Earth Dragons?
Yes, Earth Dragons are rideable creatures that spawn in the world and can serve as mounts for traversal. Tame or interact with them to ride across your terrain.
What bosses should I prepare for?
Major bosses include the Hakugei (White Whale), Oousagi (Great Rabbit), and Kurohebi (Black Serpent)—all legendary threats that require strong gear and trained spells. Prepare by leveling your magic, gathering Divine Protections or an Authority, and equipping powerful weapons before engaging them.
Are there hostile mobs I should avoid early on?
Yes—mabeasts like Wolgarm packs and the Guiltylowe spawn in forest biomes and are dangerous to unprepared players. Avoid them until you've trained spells and equipped better gear, or engage them in groups.
What are Bocco Fruits used for?
Bocco Fruits are consumable items that grow in forest biomes and provide benefits to players—check your inventory or tooltip to see their specific effects.
Do I need to choose between magic and weapons?
No—the mod supports hybrid playstyles where you use both spells and weapons like the Kukri Blades together. Your Divine Protections or Authority will boost both, so you can mix combat styles based on your preference.
