Frequently asked questions

How do I know which Porting Lib module a mod needs?
You don't pick modules yourself — the mod that depends on Porting Lib declares which modules it needs, and those get pulled in automatically. If a mod lists Porting Lib as a dependency, just install Porting Lib and let it handle the rest.
Do I need to install every Porting Lib module separately?
No. Porting Lib ships as one mod containing all its modules, so a single install covers accessors, attributes, networking, tags, transfer, and the rest. You never install modules individually.
Why does Porting Lib show up in my mod list but nothing changes in game?
That's expected — Porting Lib is a library and adds no blocks, items, or gameplay on its own. It only does something when another mod that depends on it is also installed and running.
A mod says it requires Porting Lib but I already have it — why won't it load?
The dependent mod is probably built for a different Minecraft version or loader than the Porting Lib you have. Make sure both the dependent mod and Porting Lib match your game version and loader (Fabric or Quilt).
