Frequently asked questions

How do I get started with this mod?
Find a Commander in an existing village, or craft a Sand Table and use it on a villager to create one. Once you have a Commander, you can trade with them to get Profession Orders and Muster Orders.
What's the difference between a Profession Order and a Muster Order?
A Profession Order converts a single adult villager into a specific soldier type that stays in your town. A Muster Order summons a temporary squad of soldiers to fight beside you after you hold it for three seconds.
Which soldier type should I use for different situations?
Archers and Scouters deal ranged damage, Swordmasters and Breachers excel in melee combat, Lancers heal allies while fighting, Doctors summon golems for support, and Rioters handle crowd control with explosives.
Do I need to feed or manage my soldier villagers?
Soldier villagers don't require special management—they defend their town automatically during raids and patrol the area when stationed at military buildings.
Where do I find military buildings to explore?
Command Posts, Trading Halls, Strong Rooms, and fortified infantry houses generate naturally in villages across your world. Strong Rooms are hidden deep underground beneath towns and contain valuable loot.
How do raids work with this mod?
Your soldiers and patrols automatically defend during raids, and you can summon additional squads with Muster Orders. Defeating waves quickly makes later waves stronger, so the difficulty scales with your performance.
What do the special items do?
TNT on a Stick and Molotov Cocktails are throwable explosives for combat, the Buckler shield lets you block while moving, and the Totem of Healing slowly restores your health until it breaks.
Can I turn any villager into a soldier or only specific ones?
You can only convert adult villagers with a Profession Order, and the specific soldier type depends on which order you use.
Do patrols from military buildings actually do anything?
Yes, patrols wander the wilderness around military buildings and actively fight monsters they encounter, helping keep the area safe.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Performance depends on your system and how many soldiers you spawn, but the mod is designed to integrate smoothly with vanilla Minecraft—test it in your world to see how it runs.
